EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, ZAMBIAN CONSUMERS ASSOCIATION

Muyunda Ililonga is the Executive Director of the Zambian Consumers Association (ZACA). ZACA is a leading consumer advocacy voice in Zambia. ZACA works in collaboration with regulatory bodies in Zambia to address consumer complaints and leads campaigns. Its campaign areas are Fair Trade (monitoring compliance with Competition and Consumer Protection laws) and health (tobacco control and land rights). The Association currently runs three major campaigns namely;

·         Enhancing access to justice by influencing the extension of Small Claims Courts (SCC’s) to rural areas.

      

     Protecting health by influencing the drafting of an FCTC Compliant Tobacco products Control Bill.

·         Protecting indigenous land ownership by campaigning against land grabbing by multi-national corporations.
